Welcome! Thanks for stopping by and getting to know us! I hope we have a chance to meet you in person - but for now, let me introduce myself and my awesome team! I am Lynnsey, Owner (along side my husband, Ty) of Ragnar Fitness and Yoga! I am Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Yoga Instructor and all around health and fitness fanatic! Growing up I was heavily involved in athletics from competitive Cheer to Volleyball and even Rowing. As an adult with real life responsibilities I struggled to find the right rhythm and program to help me quench my fitness thirst and provide balance. As a mom of 3 and wife, family is my top priority and time is a hot commodity!
I started out taking a wide variety of classes. Frustrated after a lack of consistency and results I enlisted my super talented husband and began running my own program with his guidance! Soon my solo adventures ended up in group outings and I was constantly answering questions, writing up work outs and eventually found myself becoming a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and leading classes. It wasn't long after that, that my husband prompted me to "open my own spot." As timing would have it (God's timing that is) our favorite Yoga Instructor was retiring and thus we headed to Cincinnati to begin our Yoga Instruction Training and RAGNAR was born! We rented a small studio for a few months and grew quickly, landing us in the Marketplace in May of 2018!
Fitness isn't a size or a diet or a fad program. It's not hours at the gym on a treadmill or tossing up 100's of pounds. Fitness is a healthy lifestyle and in order for those habits to stick you have to LOVE doing them. I got to the point where I hated going into the gym - the atmosphere, the stereotypes, the lack of consistent options. Ragnar is a community of individuals looking to support one another, grow with one another and encourage one another! We're all looking for the same thing - a safe, fun place to get our work done and feel good. My husband and I have designed effective programs to mix and match with any schedule. They allow you to get in and out in under an hour, shred your goals and have fun doing it! The variety and consistency is unmatched, our challenges are daily and exciting. We offer options for all levels and focus on function - not fads! When you come to Ragnar, I promise to facilitate a judgement free environment invested in YOU! We will take time to educate our community and always provide functional, results driven programs that meet your needs and encourage your goals!
What began as a journey to lose weight slowly developed into a passion! My initial struggles faded through the inspiration of close friends and family, and I soon began to crave "the burn." Just over a year ago, I stepped into Ragnar for the first time. I was beyond nervous to break out of my comfort zone of home work outs, but I refused to let my fear stop me from achieving my goals. One class turned into two and after several months of training I was not only attending classes, I was leading them! I had more than conquered my fears and annihilated my goals! Today I still attend several classes in addition to leading the Body Sculpt program. We have something for everyone regardless of fitness level - join us and let us become a part of your journey, because in the end I am you! I am your friend, your sister, the woman standing next to you at work or in church. As your instructor I will find what motivates you, what drives you and work to encourage you through proper form, technique and passion! I have the heart and the will - I promise it is worth the jump!
I am a Certified Exercise Physiologist through ACSM and work at Mary Rutan Hospital in Cardiopulmonary Rehab and the Weight Management Clinic. I have been a Certified Group Exercise Instructor for 6 years and currently Teach PiYo and HIIT at Ragnar!
I have been active from a young age, beginning with Baton, Twirling, Tumbling and Track. While attending Bowling Green State University I was a Twirler and graduated with a Bachelors in Exercise Science. Currently I stay active by attending classes at Ragnar and Running.
I know that fitness can be intimidating for many, but I strongly encourage everyone to join us at Ragnar. The Ragnar Community is a great place to meet new friends and provides safe and effective routines to help any one achieve their goals. We offer many different classes, so you're able to find something you like and build a consistent program you look forward to each week. I am a certified Personal Trainer through ACE and currently work at Honda R&D as a Health Fitness Specialist. Additionally, I have acquired a Nutrition Certification through Precision Nutrition and hold a TRX Instructor Certification as well. While studying at Heidelberg University I played Volleyball and assisted in a variety of group fitness programs before graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science.
I have a love for all things Fitness dating back to childhood and enjoy staying active with Volleyball, Hiking and friendly lifting competitions with my husband. My goal is to help everyone I work with get educated about health and fitness so that they are able to create a lifestyle specific to their needs and desires. Through proper education I believe we can provide a program that is enjoyable and engaging; transforming an intimidating chore into a fun lifestyle with healthy outputs. I am excited about the opportunity to work with the Ragnar Community and infuse some of my own personal touches in each of my classes. Stop by and check out the Ragnar Fitness Family!
